Break Open the Box: A Writing Workshop for the Soul 2.0 -

Courtney Stevens Potter once said, “You have to write the story only you can tell.” She wasn’t setting an expectation—she was giving us permission. Permission to explore, to unravel, to connect with ourselves and one another through the deeply personal lens of our own experiences.

We are disconnected humans, craving connection, confined by the invisible boxes we build around ourselves. We scroll, we skim, we exist in a world of curated moments—yet at our core, we are nothing more than words.

What if you gave yourself the space to break open the box? To peer inside?

What do you see? Does it terrify you? Excite you? Both?

This informal, guided workshop is designed to give you the space, time, and permission to explore your story without expectation. Together, we’ll create an atmosphere of comfortability that allows you to speak to the part of yourself that makes you, you. While shedding the layers of societal, familial and traditional identities, we begin to uncover our sense of self like never before. Taking ownership over our own stories can be painful, but when we are led through the remembrance in a way that empowers, inspires, and memorializes the good, we get a little of our true selves back in the process.

Led by Jennifer Pavone, a writer, poet, and certified writing instructor with over 20 years of experience, this gathering is an opportunity to engage in self-exploration through words, experience, and connection. As a Registered Yoga Teacher (500) and the owner of Sonnet Yoga, Jennifer understands the importance of mind-body connection and brings an authentic, reflective approach to the creative process.
